In preparation for the Voices and Votes exhibition coming to Douglas this fall, we have put up Democracy for Dinosaurs: A Guide for Young Citizens! Learn how to practice the basic values of democracy: sharing equal rights, seeking truth, speaking up for what’s right, and much more!
When we take this book down in September, it will be replaced with the pictures and platforms of all the candidates running in a mock mayoral race! Who will be the next mayor of Douglas? There will be six stuffed animals to choose from with very different ideas for Douglas and our town common. Stay tuned, and thanks for reading!
