The storywalk has been updated! The currently featured book is Duck on a Bike by David Shannon:
The first storywalk I ever put together was Duck on a Bike. We were still not 100% out of lockdown. We were trying to find creative ways to engage the community, and storywalks seemed like a good fit. I put the first one up at Douglas Orchard and Farm out of laminated pages taped to blank yard signs (the kind they use for politics and advertising who just installed your new siding). I weaved them through the apple orchard and it was lovely.
When Ethan Chishom and Boy Scout Troop 316 built the Storywalk on the SNETT for us, we had a way to build them for re-use. The original Duck on a Bike storywalk, being the first one I ever made, only lasted for one deployment. But back, better than ever, and this time unabridged, Duck is back!
