After an exciting six weeks, the race for Douglas Mayor is over. 437 voters have spoken and Bald-E has won with 108 votes!

Bald-E addressed the public at the closing reception for Museum on Main Street: Voices and Votes on Saturday, October 25. In his speech, Bald-E thanked his supporters and stated again that he strongly believed in unlimited screentime and daily exercise.
As part of his unlimited screentime, he does feel that it is important that everyone continues to expand their horizons. There will be mandatory documentary viewing for all! There are some excellent series by Ken Burns and David Attenborough. This mandatory documentary viewing can always be met by using the Library’s Kanopy Service (come in for more information). Bald-E once again wants to thank everyone for their support throughout his campaign.
The other candidates would like to thank their supporters as well.
- Chirri Cheetah will get her daily exercise in by continuing to play all day and hopes that all kids will continue doing the same.
- Dougie Bear really appreciates the support he received from all, but with winter coming, he will be going back into the woods where he will be hibernating for winter. He may come back at some time, but for now, sleep is his main priority.
- Puffy McPloof asks her supporters to never stop swimming and learning!
- Sir Gooseneck Ganderfield just wants everyone to stay classy and continue having a ball in their Sunday best.
- Triceratina says that you can find her at the Common, where she will be wide awake and staying clean at all times.
- As for our Dark Horse, he slinked out of town the same way he came in. Quietly!
Thanks to all who participated in our Vote for Douglas Mayor!

Bald-E is already hard at work.
First, Town Administrator, Matt Wojcik welcomes newly elected Mayor Bald-E to Douglas. Then, Mayor Bald-E has set up his desk at the Douglas Town Library to meet with his constitutes. Simon the Field Mouse is Mayor Bald-E’s first constituent, as a representative of the Library.
