Enjoy our free screening of Carson Lund’s Eephus (1hr, 38 min), filmed at our very own Soldier’s Field!
Eephus, written and directed by New Hampshire native Carson Lund, was filmed at Soldier’s Field with participation from local residents. As the Eephus Crew begins their Summer Barnstorming Tour, we are honored to host this special event. This viewing is a homecoming celebration, honoring the town’s contribution to the film and showcasing its deep sense of community spirit. Note there will be some coarse, authentic language.

There will be a special appearance by former Red Sox pitcher Bill “Spaceman” Lee, who appears in the film and famously threw the eephus pitch.
To start the afternoon, at 3:00 PM, spectators are welcome to come and watch a reunion game played by the crew of Eephus. In between innings and throughout the day’s events, the band Good Deli will be performing and if you listen closely, you might hear some of their music in the movie.
The gates will then reopen at 6:30 PM. Families are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets for seating and find their spot on Soldier’s Field to prepare to view the movie. While waiting for the movie to start, there will be food trucks and family-friendly activities for all to enjoy. Please feel free to bring small coolers with refreshments, but please note that this is an alcohol-free event.
Food Trucks:
Smash’d
The Fox and Crumpet
Then at 8:00 PM, our free outdoor screening of Carson Lund’s Eephus will begin.
Kids’ activities will begin when the gates open and continue throughout the movie, including slow-pitch softball, giant Jenga, corn hole, and Bowling for Books.
While you do not need tickets to attend this event, Registering Here will help give us an idea of how many are planning to attend. The more people that register, the more food trucks we can deliver!!!
Once again – please note that this is a drug and alcohol-free event and we request that no alcoholic beverages be brought to the premises.
