Fall Online Auction Update

The auction site is live and ready to view: http://www.charityauction.bid/sfpl

Our Friends have been working hard collecting an expansive catalog of items for you to bid on. We are also also adding as many “book bundles” as we can in lieu of our usual Oktoberfest book sale. Please check it out! Bidding starts October 3–let’s have fun with this!

The Friends of the Library welcome you to our first ever FALL ONLINE AUCTION!

Bidding begins on October third and goes through the fourteenth.  If you have an item or service you would like to donate, please let us know by October 1.

All proceeds earned from this auction will be deposited in the Library’s interest-bearing building fund, reserved for making the Library accessible to all patrons, regardless of age or ability.  A donation or bid on any of these items is an investment in a future where the Library has a) an entrance that is accessible, b) code-compliant paved parking, c) an elevator to provide access to both floors, and d) an accessible public restroom.

Please be generous and help us get the Library closer to its $400,000 goal! Learn more about the Library Renovation Project here!  And learn more about the Friends of the Library here!

IMPORTANT DETAILS ABOUT OUR AUCTION:

This is a NO RESERVE auction, which means that as long as the starting bid is met, the item will sell!

You will be able to bid online or with an absentee bid.  Bidding begins October 3 and ends October 14.  During the auction you can increase your bid amount at any time.  You cannot decrease or remove a bid.

Note that your bid will only increase toward your maximum if other bids are received. Your bid will win at the least possible amount if you remain the highest bidder.

You must register and provide a credit card to bid online. You will have the option to pay later at the library.  Payment by credit card online, or by cash or check. Payment is due when the auction ends.  If you are not paying online, payment must be made within 7 days.

Absentee bid forms will be available at the library by October 3 for those who cannot bid online.  PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE BIDS UNTIL THE FINAL CATALOG IS POSTED AS ITEM NUMBERS MAY CHANGE! The Auction Catalog is growing day by day!

All items will be available for pickup.  There is no shipping.

There is still time to donate auction items!  Please contact donnakmetz@charter.net
